Oma Maxine Tarbill, age 80, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died August 23, 2011, at Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa.Oma Maxine Dorrell was born on June 9, 1931, in Osborne, Idaho, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Mary Ellen (Belrey) Dorrell.
She worked as a waitress for much of her life. She loved music and her church. She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Storm Lake. A people person, she enjoyed making new friends. Cats were important to Maxine. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Her family was always her first priority, however. Maxine treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her quiet, caring ways will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Gus Albert Rathke, of Florence, Arizona, Randolph Roy Rathke, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and June Elaine (Rick) Mason, of Storm Lake; her grandchildren: Michele, Andrea, Tammie, John, and Amanda Rathke and Jeremy, Becky, and Brian Mason as well as Julianne (Travis) Dudley; three great-grandchildren: Andrew, Elizabeth, and Isaiah Dudley; her sister, Jennifer Allen, of Escondido, California; and extended family and many friends.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. August 26, 2011, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. August 27, 2011, at the Faith Bible Christian Outreach Center in Storm Lake, Iowa.
