Naida Grace Benson, 84, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2011.
Naida was born in Palmer, on January 22, 1927, to John and Edna Keleher. First an elementary school teacher, she then married Paul Benson in 1951 and devoted her life to raising her family. A resident of Windsor Heights for the last seventeen years, she had previously resided in Storm Lake for over forty years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory include husband, Paul; her children: Douglas (Karen) Benson, Tim (Mary) Benson, Judy Benson (Roy Yanes), Steve Benson, Linda Benson-Hestbech (Phil Hestbech), Laurie Benson (Tom Deeter), and Mary Benson; eleven grandchildren; and her siblings, Lois (Hank) O'Connell, Shirley (Owen) Harrold, Mary Lou Korte, and Keith (Lois) Keleher.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2011, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Clive with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
