May 28, 1930 - August 13, 2011Storm Lake, Iowa—Jean Adelia Fullenworth, age 81, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died August 13, 2011, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.
Jean was born May 28, 1930, in Alta, Iowa, to Karl and Signe (Axelson) Bengtson. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta. Growing up, she attended school in Aurelia and graduated from Aurelia High School in 1948.
On September 5, 1954, she married George Fullenworth at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta. This union was blessed with four children: Betty, Alice, Georgia, and Connie.
Jean was blessed to spend many years on the family farm. Young at heart, she loved to spend time with her family. Whether at work or at play, she never missed an opportunity to share the fruits of her loving and kind spirit.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Betty Fullenworth, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Alice (Dan) Friedrichsen, of Holstein, Iowa, Georgia (David) Demers, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Connie (Dean) Demers, of Grimes, Iowa; her grandchildren: Katie and Thomas Demers, Amanda (Patrick) Korger, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Christopher Demers, of Grimes, Iowa; her brothers: Dick (Kathy) Hodge, of Dubois, Wyoming, and Bill (Sheri) Bengtson, of San Diego, California; her sisters: Nancy Speck, of Dunwoody, Georgia, Carolyn (Ron) Michener, of Anthon, Iowa, and Rose (Dick) Zubradt, of Fort Collins, Colorado; as well as extended family and cherished friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Karl and Signe; her step-mother, Mildred; her grandson, Paul David Demers; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Speck.
Visitation: 5:00-8:00 p.m., August 16, 2011, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., August 17, 2011, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.
