Maxine Cooper Rube

Maxine Cooper Rube passed away from this existence to a glorified one on the 9th day of June 2011. Now in the cradling arms of her savior, she had reached the age of 84 years, 4 months, and 20 days.
A long-time resident of Storm Lake and the rural community, she had many friends and a very large extended family. She died in Fort Worth, Texas, where she had lived with her oldest son, David, for the last seven years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, who passed away on January 4, 1986, and her youngest son, James, Sr., who passed away on January 24, 2011.
She had four granddaughters and one grandson, six great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons, and a great, great-grandchild due this fall. She will forever be missed by her son, David, her sole caretaker for the last five years, and by all of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren as well as by many long time friends in Storm Lake. Her sister, Ruth Gorman, of Storm Lake and her twin sister, Geri, of California, are her last surviving siblings.
