Shelley T. Boggs, age 58, of Albert City, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Pleasant View Nursing Home at Albert City.
Shelley T. Whiteley, the daughter of Loris and Beverly (Bradford) Whiteley, was born in Eugene, Oregon, on June 7, 1952. She lived her youth in Eugene and graduated from Churchill High School. She continued her education at Lane Community College for one year.
On June 12, 1971, Shelley married Lee Boggs in Eugene, Oregon. They were blessed with two sons, Aaron and Taylor. Throughout her married life, Shelley was a homemaker. During that time, she lived in Oregon, Iowa, Kentucky, Washington, and California. When Shelley was in her early 30's, she began exhibiting symptoms of multiple sclerosis which she battled the remainder of her life.
Shelley resided at a nursing home in Holstein for two years and then made her home at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Albert City for the past twelve years.
Shelley's life will be remembered and celebrated by her two sons and their wives: Aaron and Shawn Boggs, of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Taylor and Heather Boggs, of Lakeside; her former husband, Lee Boggs, of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren: Kira, Hunter, Kayla, Devin, Tristan, and Durbin; her mother, Beverly Whiteley, of West Linn, Oregon; and her brother, Mike Whiteley of West Linn, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her father, Loris.
Funeral services for Shelley Boggs were held Thursday, May 12, 2011, at the Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
