Keo Thiphasouk, age 75, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died April 4, 2011, at his home in Storm Lake. Keo was born June 15, 1935, in Vientiane, Laos, where he also attended and graduated from school.

In 1959, he was baptized in Paksane, Laos, and later became a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

On May 1, 1957, Keo was united in marriage to Nou Syharath in Paksane, Laos. They were blessed with nine children: Bountheo, Bounthan, Khamvhanh, Dawn, Bounyong, Eddie, Allen, Lee, and Phokham.

Keo enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He loved and treasured his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Dawn (Pramern) Suksai of Storm Lake, Iowa, Bounyong (Seng) Chounlamany, of Sioux City, Iowa, Eddie Thiphasouk, of Sioux City, Iowa, Allen (Pathoumthong) Thiphasouk, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Lee (Vawn) Thiphasouk, of Nevada, Iowa, and Phokham “Joy” Thiphasouk, of Sioux City, Iowa; his grandchildren: Ann Phakonekham, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Lori (No) Lengsavath, of Hartford, Connecticut, Michael Phakonekham, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Alex, Steven, and Brian Chounlamany, of Sioux City, Iowa, Hayla and Mia Thiphasouk, of Sioux City, Iowa, Chris Thiphasouk, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Kobe and Byron Thiphasouk, of Nevada, Iowa; his great grandchildren: Ethan Phakonekham, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Jasmine Lengsavath, of Hartford, Connecticut; and his brother, Khamla (Bounraphanh), of Algona, Iowa; as well as extended family and friends.

Keo was preceded in death by his wife, Nou Thiphasouk, and his sons: Bounthan and Khamvhanh Thiphasouk.

Visitation: 5-6:00 p.m. April 09, 2011, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial: 2:00 p.m. April 10, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Vigil Service: 5:00 p.m. April 09, 2011, at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Interment: April 10, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake, Iowa.
