Christine Bonde
May 1, 1890 - August 11, 1936

Christine Bonde died Tuesday, August 11, 1936, at a Buffalo Center hospital. She had undergone surgery and was apparently recovering well when death came suddenly. Funeral services will be held in Newell today from the home and from the Danish Lutheran church. Pall bearers are to be her two brothers, her brothers-in-law, Carl Thomsen and Svend Danielsen, her uncle, L. A. Christensen, and Hans Bodholdt.

Mariane Christine Mikkelsen was born May 1, 1890, in Newell to Anton and Else Marie Christensen Mikkelsen. She was a life-long member of the Danish Lutheran church in Newell, having been baptised and confirmed there.

On April 7, 1915, she and Peter Bonde were united in marriage; he survives her. She is also survived by her children, Mildred, Bernice and Merlyn; her mother; two brothers, Thorvald and Emil Mikkelsen, two sisters, Mrs. Carl Thomsen, of Everly, and Mrs. Sven Danielsen, of Newell. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Louis, who died in France in 1918 (abstract, Newell Mirror, August 14, 1936).
