Monica Rose (Fuller) Jensen, age 81, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Spencer Hospital.

Monica was born on July 24, 1929, in Cherokee County to John D. and Susana M. (Specht) Fuller. She attended Maryhill Elementary School and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Cherokee.

Monica was united in marriage to Robert D. Jensen on April 20, 1949, at Maryhill Catholic Church. After living for a short time in Cherokee, Monica and Bob moved to Storm Lake where they made their home for over thirty-eight years. Bob worked for Chesterman Bottlers and Monica was an extremely skilled seamstress.

In 1990, they built their lake home on Lake Minnewashta in Arnolds Park, and in 2001, they moved into a new house in Milford.

Monica was an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she served as the wedding coordinator, the head of the decorating committee, the sacristan and a religious education teacher. She was a loving wife and mother and a devoted grandmother. She adored watching her only grandson, Lowen Gude, perform in music and theater.

Monica is survived by her husband, Bob; her daughters, Susanne Bicknese, of Spencer, and Pam Gude, of Milford; and a grandson, Lowen Gude, of St. Peter, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Daniel Fuller.

Services for Monica Jensen will be held Thursday, February 10th, 2011, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Milford. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 7 p.m., with a Rosary and a Vigil for the Deceased at 7 p.m. at the Schuchert Funeral Home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford.

The Schuchert Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
