Cathy Waldner, age 51, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died February 7, 2011, at her home in Storm Lake.

Cathy Ann Cooley, the daughter of Herbert and Donna (Bauer) Cooley, was born August 27, 1959, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake where she remained a member.

Growing up, Cathy attended school in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1977. Following graduation, she lived in Michigan, Bradenton, Florida, and Bogota, Colombia, before returning to Storm Lake.

On April 1, 1980, Cathy was united in marriage to Alberto Ordonez. They were blessed with three children: Brianna, Adam, and Alexander. On December 11, 2004, Cathy married to Aaron Waldner.

Cathy was employed at Tyson Foods in Storm Lake where she completed the payroll. She helped raise money for the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life as a Team Captain. Cathy enjoyed reading, bowling, gardening, and camping. She loved collecting antiques and restoring her 100 year old home. Cathy treasured traveling, especially the family trip to Florida, the trip to Las Vegas with friends, and a trip to Jamaica for her honeymoon in 2010.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Aaron Waldner; her children: Brianna and Alexander Ordonez; her stepson, J.J. Waldner; her brother-in-law, Jeremy (Sonja); her sister-in-law, Wendy (Jeremiah) and their children, Nathaniel and Brandon; her uncles and aunts: Harry Bauer; Jonathan (Dee) Waldner; her mother- and father-in-law; her special friends: Shelly and Bill Chapman, Brenda Newell, Laura Harris, Tracey Jepsen, Tammy Voss, Lori Nitchals, Jan Severson, Sue Frease Bliss, Sheryl Campbell, Liz Stough, Dawn Bricker, Pat Anderson, Dan Konradi, and Stan and Jolene Henrich; her neighbors: Jim and Sharon, Dean and Josie, Steve and Jean, and Paul and Pat as well as extended family and friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Donna Cooley; her son, Adam; her brother, Chuck Cooley; her grandparents: George and Sarah Cooley and Harry and Louise Bauer.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., February 10, 2011, at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Visitation: 6-8:00 p.m., February 09, 2011, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Interment: 00, 000 at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Storm Lake, Iowa.
