Shirley A. Bihrer, age 74, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died December 25, 2010, in Sioux City, Iowa.
Shirley A. Brown was born June 6, 1936, in Ringsted, Iowa, the daughter of Thurston and Gladys (Sampson) Brown. Shirley graduated from Ringsted High School in 1954.
On July 14, 1956, Shirley was united in marriage to Merle Bihrer in Sac City, Iowa. They were blessed with three children: Steve, Scott, and Sherrie.
Shirley was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed playing cards, working on crossword puzzles, and watching old time movies. She was very active in her children’s lives.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Merle Bihrer, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her children: Scott (special friend, Sarah Kapustlia) Bihrer, of Urbandale, Iowa, and Sherrie (Rich) Sassman, of Storm Lake, Iowa; three grandchildren: Dalton and Dylan Sassman and Keatyn Bihrer; her brother, Keith Brown of Camanche, Iowa; and extended family and friends.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Steve; and two brothers: Donald and Duane.
