January 5, 1944 - January 8, 2004Colin N. Blomgren, age 60, died on January 8, 2004, at Storm Lake.
Colin Nels Blomgren was born on January 5, 1944, at Storm Lake. He was the son of Irvin and Mildred (Anderson) Blomgren. Colin was educated in Albert City schools, graduating from high school in 1963. He worked at different manufacturing plants in Laurens.
Colin married Beth (Rudy) Pohl on June 11, 1983, at Albert City. The couple has made their home in rural Albert City ever since then. In the late 1980s, Colin was forced to retire because of his failing health.
Colin was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. An avid fishermen, he also hunted when he was able. He loved to take care of his animals.
Survivors include his wife, Beth (Rudy), of Albert City; his son, Patrick (Mindy) Blomgren, of Albert City; his daughter, Dawn (Mark) Pistulka, of Waconia, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Christina, Chelsea, Madison, Blake and Payton; his sister, Teresa (Bill) Gebauer, of Albert City; and his aunt, Jean Anderson, of Albert City.
Colin was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kelly; his grandparents, Nels and Alvina Anderson; and his uncles, Allie and Holly Anderson.
Funeral services for Colin Blomgren were held Monday, January 12, 2004, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Laurens with Reverend Tammy Anderson and Reverend James Little officiating. Burial was in the Poland Township Cemetery.
