Christina Magdalene Roeser, 99, of Storm Lake, died on Thursday, September 4, 2003, at the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake.

Christina Magdalene Roeser, daughter of Nicholas and Margaret (Behrens) Roeser was born on January 9, 1904, in Ponca, Nebraska. She lived with her parents and was educated as a child in the Ponca area.

Christina moved to the Storm Lake area in the late 1930's to live with her sister, Mary Smith, and has lived here ever since. She worked at a local canning factory and enjoyed spending time knitting, quilting, crocheting, and cooking. Christina was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake.

Christina was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and six sisters.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, and great-great grand nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2003, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake with Reverend Bruce Lawler officiating.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service with a Legion of Mary Rosary at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Ponca, Nebraska, at 3:45 p.m. The Sliefert-Asmus Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
