May 15, 1948 - September 10, 2003

Thomas Alan Siebrecht, 55, Rembrandt, formerly of Alta, passed away on September 10, 2003, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City at the age of 55 years, three months, and 26 days.

A son of Glenn Everett and Marie (Hummel) Siebrecht, Tom was born on May 15, 1948, in Odebolt. He attended school at Hayes School in the Storm Lake area.

On October 27, 1968, Tom was united in marriage to Cheri Logan at the Methodist Church in Alta. The couple was blessed with two son, Jeffrey and Michael, and three daughters, Deborah, Kathy, and Sara.

Tom worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing with his dog, Troubles, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Siebrecht, on August 17, 1991, and his sister, Carolyn Harris, on December 2, 1998.

Tom is survived by his wife, Cheri, of Rembrandt; two sons, Jeffrey Siebrecht, of Red Wing, Minnesota, and Michael Siebrecht, of Alta; three daughters, Deborah Siebrecht, of Earlham, Kathy Brock, and her husband, Mike, of Independence, and Sara Siebrecht, of Laurens; five grandchildren, Samantha, Kayla, Josh, Mercedes, and Chase; his mother, Marie Siebrecht, of Alta; one sister, Bonnie Luberstead, and her husband Rod, of Kerrville, Texas; two brothers, Larry Siebrecht, of Rembrandt and Doug Siebrecht, of Alta; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Tom were held on September 13, 2003, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rembrandt, with Pastor Durwood Clauson officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Alta. Barker Funeral Home, Alta, was in charge of arrangements.
