Leo Overmohle, age 80, of Storm Lake, died on September 10, 2010, at St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
Leo G. Overmohle was born in Elgin, Nebraska, on January 31, 1930, to Anton and Lauretta (Mooney) Overmohle. There he was also baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith.
During the Korean War, Leo proudly served his country in the United States Army.
On January 15, 1953, Leo was united in marriage to Rosemary Koch at St. Mary’s Church in Storm Lake. Their union was blessed with nine children: Cindy, Susan, Mike, Laurie, Beth, Barb, Nancy, Bob and Mary.
He was currently an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake.
The family made their home in Storm Lake where Leo worked for Hy-Grade for 33 years. He later worked for Thresia’s Greenhouse near Early, Iowa, for his cousin Thresia Tunink as well as for Bomgaars and Joyce’s Greenery in Storm Lake.
Over the years, Leo enjoyed woodworking, gardening and camping. More than anything, he loved and adored his family. He will be forever remembered as a loving and devote husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.

Preceding Leo in death were his parents; wife of 50 years, Rosemary; brother, Don “Butch” Overmohle; son-in-law, Byron Pommrehn; and brother-in-law, Norman Kestel.
Visitation: 3-8:00 p.m. September 13, 2010 at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. September 14, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa
