Lois Eileen Fredericksen, 84, Alta, died February 17, 2002, in Jupiter, Florida, following a lengthy illness.

Lois Hultgren was born at Alta on December 7, 1917, the daughter of Horace and Selma (Johnson) Hultgren. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta. At graduation from Aurelia High School, May 1934, Lois was recognized as valedictorian.

On November 4, 1944, Lois was married at Alta to Stanley George Frederick Fredericksen. They farmed in the Alta area for many years with gardening as a favorite pastime.

Through the years, Lois had been an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Alta, serving as a member of the Trinity Church choir.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Everett and Forrest; and two infant sisters. She is survived by one son, Allen Fredericksen of Jupiter, Florida;

Funeral Services for Lois were held Monday, March 11, 2002, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Alta, with Pastor Lilette E. Johnston officiating.

Burial was in the Scandinavian Cemetery, Alta. The Barker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
