Marlys Litwiller - Apr. 23, 1929 - Jan. 31, 2002

Marlys Litwiller, 72, formerly of Storm Lake, died Thursday, January 31, 2002, at her rural Manson home.

Marlys Florence Litwiller was born April 23, 1929, in Lincoln Township, Pocahontas County. She completed her education through the eighth grade at St. Paul Lutheran School in Fort Dodge. She married Earl Litwiller on April 21, 1946, in Fort Dodge. Marlys spent her life as a housewife and homemaker for her family.

Survivors include her husband Earl; daughters, Shirley (Randy) Stein of Manson, Marlene (Larry) Zuercher of Glendale, Ariz.; sons, Donald of Rockwell City, Danny (Pam) of Phoenix, Ariz., Douglas (Jill) of Ames, Duane "Dewey" of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother Henry Dornath of Manson; and sisters Lois Woolery of Webster City and Charlene Nahnsen of Moorland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerhard and Engel Ihnen Dornath; infant son Darrell; brothers, Jasper and LuVerne; sisters, Minnie Zimmerman, Tena Niemand and Rieka Eichelberger.

Funeral Services were held February 5, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manson, with Reverend H.W. Schiller officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Manson. The Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home, Manson, was in charge of arrangements.
