Mark T. Kennedy, age 43, of Loveland, Colorado, formerly of Storm Lake, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001, at his home in Loveland following an apparent heart attack.

Mark Thomas Kennedy was born March 16, 1958, in Des Moines, the son of Bernard J. and Marjorie (Hodapp) Kennedy. He attended school in Storm Lake and graduated from Storm Lake St. Mary's High School with the Class of 1976.

He then graduated from Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City.

In 1986 Mark moved to Loveland where he worked for Vision Graphics as a press operator and also worked at Supermac Manufacturing Company.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland. He was an avid golfer and a skilled woodworker. He enjoyed all sports with baseball being his passion. He was an Iowa Hawkeye and Colorado Rockies fan. He enjoyed bicycling and had an extensive collection of signature golf balls. One of Mark's greatest pleasures in life was spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Mark is survived by his parents Bernard and Marjorie, Storm Lake; five sisters: Mary and Gerald Johnston, Mesa, Arizona, Sheila and Kevin Storbakken, Sibley, Teresa and David Kokesh, Yankton, South Dakota, Helen Kennedy, West Des Moines and Jean and Kyle White, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two brothers: Michael Kennedy, Nutley, New Jersey, and John Kennedy, Cedar Rapids; four nieces and three nephews: Jessica and Amanda Kokesh, Rosanna, Maggie and Joseph Storbakken and Matthew and Andrew White.

Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, a niece and a nephew.

A Memorial was Monday, December 3, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake with the Reverend Doug Klein officiating. Burial of his ashes will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Saint Mary School Foundation.
