Louis L. Lill, age 77, of Storm Lake, died Friday, November 30, 2001, at his Storm Lake home following a sudden illness.

Louis LaVerne Lill was born May 4, 1924, on a farm near Holstein in Ida County, the son of August and Edna (Stoltenberg) Lill. He graduated from Holstein High School.

Louie worked for Buena Vista County as a road grader operator for over 26 years. He was a long-time member of the Storm Lake Moose Lodge.

He is survived by a son, Doug Lill, and his wife, Jean, Las Vegas, NV; a daughter, Lori Lill and her fiancé, Will McWithey, Luverne, MN; two grandsons, Randy Lill, and his wife, Lori, Troutdale, OR, and Bradley Lill, Allen, TX; a great grandson, Brandon Lill; a sister, LaVonne Meiske and her husband, John, Hartley; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Lill, Aurelia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dennis and by a brother, Lloyd.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 6th, 2001, at 1 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home, 300 Cayuga Street, Storm Lake, with the Reverend Jack Barber officiating. The body will be cremated following the funeral service with burial of ashes at a later date. A memorial fund has been established.
