Marian Jean Droll passed away at Heart hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Sunday, December 9, 2001, at the age of 82.

Marian Jean Noll, the daughter of Roy and Elsie (Boralius) Noll, was born July 5, 1919, in Spencer. Her childhood years were spent in the Spencer area where she received her education. She attended Iowa Normal School in Cedar Falls.

Marian married Dale Droll on September 26, 1942, in Glendale, CA. Following their marriage, they lived in the communities of Los Angeles, CA, for six years and in Storm Lake for 25 years until moving to Spencer where they have lived the last 30 years.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Spencer and a member of the TOPS and Questers. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, quilting and family gatherings.

Mrs. Droll was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Dale, of Spencer; two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Jim Sathoff, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Cheri and Don Miller of Minneapolis, Minn.; five grandchildren: Craig, Danny, Jami, Carrie and Jennifer; three great grandchildren: Emily, Graham and Jonas; one step great grandchild, Justin; one sister, Arlene Jenkins of California; one brother, Bruce Noll of California.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Droll will be 11 a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2001, at the First Congregational Church in Spencer.

Pastor Tom Van Tassell and Pastor Wendy Van Tassell will be officiating. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Spencer. Arrangements were by Warner Funeral Home, Spencer.
