Mary L. Kraft, 73, of Madison, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at HospiceCare Inc.

Mary L., the daughter of Charles G. and Bernice C. (Madisette) Walters, was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Storm Lake.

She married Wm. C. Kraft on Dec. 28, 1948, in Storm Lake. She was a graduate of Iowa State University in 1948 and was employed as a dietitian at Beaver Dam Community Hospital for many years.

Mrs. Kraft was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaver Dam.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother- and father-in-law Dorothea and Aldo Kraft; one grandson Ryan and one brother Wm. Walters.

Mrs. Kraft is survived by her husband Wm. Kraft of Madison; one daughter Ann L. and her husband Mark Knaup of West Bend, Wis.; two sons: Craig A. and his wife Tammy Kraft of Washington, D.C. and Robert C. and his wife Joan Kraft of Madison; four grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kraft were held Friday, March 2, 2001, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaver Dam with Rev. Eileen Kuehnl officiating.

Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. The Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam was in charge of the arrangements.
