Robert H. Miller - Apr. 7, 1939 - May 13, 2008

Robert H. “Bob” Miller, age 69, of Rembrandt, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Robert Henry Miller was born April 7, 1939, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the son of Frank and Mary (Demers) Miller. He was baptized in 1939 at St. Mary’s Church in Storm Lake and later was confirmed there as well. He enjoyed school and in 12 years of attending classes, he missed no days of school. When he graduated from Providence Consolidated Schools of Sulfur Springs, Iowa, in 1957, he was presented with a trophy for his perfect attendance record.

On July 28, 1968, Bob was united in marriage to Marjorie Boettcher at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Storm Lake. The couple was blessed with two sons, Chad and Michael. Bob and Marjorie would have been married 40 years on July 28th, this coming summer.

Bob loved working on the farm and doing anything connected with agriculture. He drove truck for many years and also worked for the Sulfur Springs Elevator. He liked to be outdoors and enjoyed any kind of outdoor activity. He was a big fan of John Wayne and his movies. A loving husband and devoted father, Bob’s family always came first in his life. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marjorie, of Rembrandt; son Chad (Lynn) Miller of Estherville, Iowa; son Michael of Agoura Hills, California; brothers John (Mary) Miller of Des Moines, Iowa, and Jim (Jan) Miller of Kingman, Arizona; sister Florence (Willard) Christensen of Storm Lake; mother-in-law Leona Boettcher of Storm Lake; sister-in-law Margie Miller of Buffalo Center, Iowa; brother- and sister-in-law, Darrell and Linda Boettcher of Richland, Iowa; extended family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his brother, George.

Funeral service for Mr. Miller will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call from 4-8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake where the family will be present the entire visitation time.
