Elsa Helen Wells - Jan. 23, 1921 - July 28, 2008

Elsa Helen Wells, 87, of Storm Lake, passed away in her home at Lake Pointe Villa on Monday, July 28, 2008.

Born in Columbus, Nebraska, on January 23, 1921, to Emil Gloor and Rosa Keller Gloor, she lived in Storm Lake for 35 years after spending most of her life elsewhere in the Midwest.

Helen was a gracious lady, an active volunteer in her community, and loved by all who knew her. Helen deeply loved and supported her family, adored her grandchildren, and loved to travel, particularly when it meant spending time with those she loved. She was passionate about the beauty she found in nature and wildlife, and she especially took great delight in feeding her birds.

Helen is survived by her three children and their spouses: Barbara and John Dulmage of Toledo, Ohio, Michael and Barbara Wells of Storm Lake, and Kathy and Roger Hansen of Springerville, Arizona. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, a sister, and two brothers, and was preceded in passing by her husband, Jack. Helen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service for Mrs. Wells will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake with Reverend David Koehler officiating. There will be no visitation. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to Lake Pointe Villa in Storm Lake.
