David N. Mueller - Oct. 13, 1938 - July 28, 2008

David N. Mueller, age 69, of Newell, Iowa, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa.

David Nicholaus Mueller was born October 13, 1938, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Nicholaus and Cecil Mae (Louderback) Mueller. He was raised in the Cincinnati area and received his education there.

David entered the United States Air Force in 1957 and served his country until he was medically retired in 1965.

On March 16, 1963, David wed Maria Pilar Leon in Spain, and they were married for 34 years. The couple was blessed with two sons, David and Daniel.

David enjoyed traveling as long as his health permitted it, and he liked playing cards with friends and family. His family was always at the center of his life and he treasured the times he spent with his sons. In later years, his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, David J.N. (Patricia) Mueller of Newell; his son, Daniel C.P. (Evangelina) Mueller of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren: Andrew Mueller of Newell; Cordell Mueller and Bryell Mueller, both of Cincinnati; sister Shirley (Lou) Smith of Cincinnati; sister Lois Hammann of North Carolina; one nephew, many nieces, extended family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

At Mr. Mueller’s request, no public services will be held and his body was cremated under the direction of the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.
