Evelyn Miller - July 30, 1910 - [Nov 14, 2000]*
Monday, November 20, 2000Evelyn, the daughter of Harry and Cora (Chase) Renshaw, was born July 30, 1910, in South Dakota. She grew up in Storm Lake and attended school here.
On Feb. 21, 1932, she was united in marriage to William Harrison Miller in Storm Lake. She and her husband farmed, and later, she managed the Gran Apartments in Storm Lake.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Storm Lake United Methodist Church, a 50-year member and Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge No. 205. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and craft making.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 28, 1972; and five brothers: Vernon, Francis, John, Charles and Jack.
Mrs. Miller is survived by one sister-in-law Helen Renshaw of Storm Lake; one brother-in-law George Miller and his wife Dorothy of Absarokee, Mont.; numerous nieces and nephews including: Florence and Willard Christensen, Storm Lake, Robert and Marjorie Miller of Storm Lake and Randy Renshaw of Sioux City.
A memorial fund has been established.
Funeral services for Evelyn Miller, 90, of Storm Lake, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Fratzke Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Schlitter of the Storm Lake United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be Storm Lake Cemetery. Fratzke Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
