Mr. Meyer and his family were in the process of being transferred to Joplin, Mo., when he passed away on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000.

Larry Alan Meyer, the son of Henry and Darlene (Schafer) Meyer, was born Nov. 7, 1952, at Moline, Ill. He moved to Lake View with his parents as a youngster and graduated from Lake View Auburn High School.

He was united in marriage to Connie McClintock at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View in 1976.

Mr. Meyer worked at Bil Mar, Aalfs, Genesis and Consumer Supply.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife Connie of Newell; his mother Darlene Meyer; one son Shannon and his wife Shelley Meyer of Newell; two daughters: Tami Meyer of Omaha, Neb. and Amanda Meyer of Storm Lake; one brother Arthur (Tagg) Meyer of Corydon; two sisters: Deb Stork of Glidden and Marilyn Lambert of Spirit Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Larry Alan Meyer, 47, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake with Pastor Don L. Poole officiating.

Burial was at Varina Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul Reiling, Josh Reiling, Will Reiling, Eric Reiling, Mike Lewey and Jim Buckendahl. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Walker and Jim Bauer. Sliefert Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
