Mariah Danner, age 23, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Mariah Mae Danner was born June 12, 1982 in Portland, Oregon to Michael Dean Danner and Toni Lynn (Harris) Danner. She lived in several cities and towns in Oregon—Portland, Wilsonville and Newberg, as well as in Bremerton, Washington before moving to Storm Lake, Iowa when her parents divorced. She received her elementary education in Oregon at Wilsonville Elementary, Mable Rush Elementary and West Hills Elementary Schools. She attended Storm Lake Middle School and then two years at Storm Lake High School. Mariah spent her junior year in the Alta, Iowa school system before graduating from Newell-Fonda High School in Newell, Iowa. She furthered her education with one year at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa and then attended La James Beauty School in Fort Dodge for a year. Mariah was employed at retail and security positions during her short adult life.
Mariah had many interests. She loved creating new fashions from old clothes. She enjoyed quiet times reading. She liked to fish and play golf. Mariah was an avid fan of the music group Tantrum2Blind and liked to take photographs of their concerts and collect their memorabilia. She enjoyed new experiences and was learning to play the guitar. Mariah treasured her family and her many friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother and step-father, Toni and Ken Keller of Storm Lake; her father, Michael D. Danner of Hermiston, Oregon; her brother, Michael R. (Danner) Keller of Storm Lake; grandparents Janice and Jim Bowen of Huntington, Oregon and Linda Peck of Storm Lake; great-grandparents Hilda and Merle Armstrong of Portland, Oregon; and many other relatives and friends.
Mariah was so very young, so there are many loved ones that we are unable to mention, but we want you all to know we have thought of you and love you all.
