Katherine Ehresman Oct. 1, 1951 - Sept. 6, 2009
Monday, September 14, 2009Katherine Ehresman, age 57, of Cherokee, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009 at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, followed by a prayer service. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
Katherine Sue Welsh, the daughter of Kenneth and Betty Jean (Palmer) Welsh, was born in Crawfordsville, Ind., on Oct. 1, 1951. She attended grade school and later graduated from Wabash High School in 1969. Following high school, she continued her education receiving her Associates Degree in Office Management.
On Dec. 18, 1992, Katherine was united in marriage to Ronald Ehresman in Logansport, Ind.
Katherine worked in various businesses in Wabash as clerical staff. She was the Cherokee County Conservation Board Office Manager.
Katherine loved knitting, crocheting and needlework. She made several things for her family members. Katherine had a passion for baking and cooking and loved spending time with her dog.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ron of Cherokee; her father, Kenneth Welsh of Peru, Ind.; her two children, Daniel Maloy of Cherokee and Joel Maloy of Logansport; her brother, Edward (Deloris) Welsh of Ross, Ohio; her sister, Becky Welsh of Wabash; extended family and many friends.
Katherine was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Welsh and her grandparents.
