Victoria D. “Vickie” Lahey, 52, of Lamont, Iowa died Friday morning, January 7, 2022, at her home surrounded by family.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 10, 2022, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Rev. Josh Schunk officiating.

Visitation: 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are suggested at the visitation and service.

Victoria Dawn Bachman was born February 7, 1969, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Howard Jr.and Karen Kay (Jacobs) Bachman. She graduated from Starmont High School. On August 18, 1990, she was united in marriage to Joseph Lahey. This union was blessed with two children: Breanna and Casady. They later divorced. Vickie was employed at East Iowa Plastics in Independence. She was a past member of the Aurora Lutheran Church. Vickie enjoyed camping, cooking, card games and spending time with her family.

Vickie is survived by her father: Howard Bachman, Jr. of Lamont; daughter: Breanna (Jon) Medley of Lamont; son: Casady (Mel) Lahey of Independence; 2 grandchildren: Carl Robert Mills and Thomas Joseph Lahey; brother: Bobbie Bachman of Lamont; and several nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Karen Kay Bachman; partner in life: Gerald Taylor, Jr.; maternal grandparents: Paul and Maxine Jacobs; and paternal grandparents: Howard and Gertrude Bachman.
