Freda R. Westcott, 92, of Oelwein, Iowa, died Friday evening, January 7, 2022, at MercyOne Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein with Pastor Nathan James officiating.

Visitation: 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are suggested at the visitation and service.

Freda Rose Noble was born July 12, 1929, in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Everett Alexander and Bessie Jane (Rowland) Noble. She graduated from North Central Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On May 31, 1953, she was united in marriage to Dean Richard Westcott at the Assembly of God Church in Mystic, Iowa. Freda was employed as a nurse’s aid at the Lutheran Home in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Freda enjoyed fishing and crocheting.

Freda is survived by her children: Gerald D. Westcott of Ellabell, Georgia, Everett D. Westcott of Oelwein, Lester J. (Jackie) Westcott of St. James, Minnesota and Darlene Westcott of Oelwein; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother: John Noble of Crosby, Minnesota; sisters: Mary Ann Ueker of Blair, Wisconsin, Alice Henthorn of Blair, Wisconsin and Helen Johnson of Austin, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on June 17, 2014; daughter-in-law: Loretta Westcott; brothers: Earl Noble, Charles Noble and Everett Noble; and sisters: Bertha Nelson, Ethel Curtis and Carrie Smith.
