Arthur D. Bowden, 46, of Lamont, Iowa, died on Monday, January 3, 2022, at his home in Lamont.

Services will be held at a later date.

Fawcett-Schmitz Funeral Home, Winthrop & Lamont, Iowa is assisting the family.

Final Resting Place: Campton-Oak Hill Cemetery, rural Lamont, Iowa

A Memorial Fund has been established for the Buchanan County Wildlife Association.

Arthur Dale Bowden was born on February 11, 1975, in Hampton, Iowa, the son of Galen Dale & Patsy Kay (Evert) Bowden. He was confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. Art graduated from Starmont High School, Arlington, in the class of 1993. He continued his education at Iowa Lakes Junior College in Estherville, earning a degree in criminal justice. Art was a longtime Lamont resident. He was certified as a State of Iowa Recreational Safety Instructor, teaching safety for the use of gun and bow and arrow hunting. He was a member of the Quasqueton Hunters Club.

Art is survived by his Father: Galen Bowden of Lamont; 3 Sisters: Jean Bowden of Lamont, Cynthia (Juan) Aponte of San Antonio, Texas & Candi Bowden of Waterloo and a Niece: Lisa Aponte of San Antonio, Texas.

Art was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother and a sister in infancy: Denise Kay Bowden.
