Guy J. Williamson, 75, of Rowley died on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at his home in Rowley. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, at the Reiff Family Center in Independence. Burial will be held at the Rowley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral begins on Saturday.

Guy was born on June 5, 1945, in Independence, the son of Guy and Helen (Palmer) Williamson. He attended the Rowley School and was a 1963 graduate of Independence High School. He started to take care of the family farm shortly after graduating. Guy also worked for many years at FJ Krob & Company in Rowley, helping haul grain throughout the years.

On February 19, 1972, he married Patricia A. McMurrin at the Methodist Church in Rowley. They made their home on the Williamson family farm. Guy spent years as a 4-H leader and as a baseball coach and umpire.

He is survived by Patricia, his wife of 48 years, of Rowley; his four sons, Christopher (Michele) Williamson of Rowley, Scott (Teresa) Williamson of Eldora, Kevin (Rita) Williamson of Independence, and Mark (Kim) Williamson of Independence; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Sharon Corsmeier of Central City; and several nieces and nephews.

Guy is preceded in death by his parents.
