MRS. MATHILDA CARLSON

Memorial services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Hazleton Tuesday, Aug. 25 for Mrs. Mathilda Carlson with Rev. Laurence F. Gaither
officiating. Burial was in the Hazleton Cemetery.

Mrs. Carlson died at a Hazleton nursing home Friday,Aug. 21.

Mathilda Carlson was born Feb. 22, 1866 in Ostra Skrubeki,Sweden. She came to the United States in 1888 and was married to Nels Carlson in Chicago in
December of 1890.

She was confirmer in the Sweden Lutheran church in Sweden at the age of 13 years, and had been a member of the Hazleton Presbyterian church for the past 43 years.

Survivors include one son,John of Marion; four grand-children and seven great grand-children.
Her husband, Nels; her eldest son, Carl; and grandson Larry, preceded her in death.
