Deloris P Klever was born July 23, 1932 at Independence, Iowa the daughter of James A. and Mildred Meythaler Stripes. She attended local school and graduated from Independence High School with the class of 1950.

Deloris was united in marriage to Willard D. Klever in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa on September 9, 1951. They made their home on the farm west of Winthrop. To this union were born five children: Carol, Larry, Alan, James, and Randy. Deloris was active in raising her family on the farm. She was a former Cub Scout Leader and sold Avon and Park Lane. Three and a half years ago she moved to ABCM West in Independence,
Deloris entered into her eternal rest on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was 85.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willard, two brothers Richard and Gary, and her daughter-in-law Cynthia Klever.

Survivors include her daughter Carol Dunne of Independence; four sons: Larry (Dode) Klever of Independence, Alan Klever of Independence, James (Nancy) Klever of Independence, and Randy (Carol) Klever of Independence; eight grandchildren: Michael Klever, Chris Dunne, Jennifer Klever Kirkman, Laura (Tom) Webb, Samantha (Nathan) Lease, Derrick (Joanna) Klever, Brittney Klever and Brooke Klever; two step grandchildren: Remington Scott and Kelsey Snyder; twelve great grandchildren, sister-in-law Jan Stripes, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church at Independence with Pastor Scott Meador officiating. Music provided by Mary Schubich and vocalist.

Interment will be in Wilson Cemetery west of Independence, Iowa. Casketbearers will be:
Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop and on Wednesday after 9:30 A.M. at the Church in Independence.
