Margaret “Mutz” Mangrich ,99, entered into her eternal rest on Monday, September 25, 2017.
Margaret Susan Mangrich was born April 30, 1918 at Worthington , Iowa the daughter of Nicholas and Frances Warborg Quint. She attended school at Worthington and then attended Pitzi’s Beauty School in Waterloo.
Margaret was united in marriage to Vincent Joseph Mangrich on February 12, 1941 at Winthrop, Iowa. To this union were born five children: Kay, Lyn, Ann, Lea, and Ina. They farmed all their working life moving to their farm north of Winthrop in 1947. They lived there until 1981 when they moved to Winthrop.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vincent, two sisters: Marie Quint and Dorothy Soppe; and three brothers: Nick Quint, Don Quint, and Howard Quint.
Survivors include her five children: Kay (David) Peterson of Independence, IA; Lyn (Kathy) Mangrich of Bonita Springs, FL; Ann (Steven) Weig of Oelwein, Iowa; Lea (William) Behan of Fort Myers, FL; and Ina (Ron) Kuenstling of Waterloo, IA; sixteen grandchildren: Scott, Susan (Tim), Chad (Pam), Troy (Jody), Todd, Amy (Travis), Mark (Irina), Makela (John), Adam (Maren), Nathan (Denise), Joshua (Emmy) , Tyler, Elly (Sean), Bradley (Joanna), Max (Tess), and Lee (Amber); twenty three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 30, 2017 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Winthrop with Father David Beckman officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery at Winthrop.
Friends may call from 3 PM until 7 PM Friday, September 29, 2017 at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop with a rosary at 3 PM and scripture service at 7 PM. Friends may also call on Saturday until 10 AM at Fawcett’s.
