Irene E. Bickert, 86, of Jesup, Iowa died Tuesday afternoon, September 19, 2017 at Unity Point – Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Graveside Service: 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, Iowa with Rev. John Kerr officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Interment: Littleton Cemetery, Littleton.

Irene Elizabeth Bickert was born November 28, 1930 at Waterloo, the daughter of Arnold W. and Bertha Rose (Nactman) Steffen. She graduated from East Waterloo High School in Waterloo. Irene was united in marriage to Stanley Bickert. She was employed for many years as a clerk at Waterloo Savings Bank in Waterloo. She was a member of the Ladies’ Eagle Club of Waterloo, where she once served as president.

Irene is survived by her 3 siblings: Doris (Howard) Muller of Sheffield, Richard Steffen of Clinton and Linda Bazyn of Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers: Roy Steffen and Don Steffen and 1 sister: Lorraine Larson.
