Monona, Ia. Oct. 31. – Special: the funeral of William Adams, 75, who died Wednesday morning at 3:30 o’clock was held Friday afternoon at his home. The Rev. J. W. Atkins, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, officiated. The casket was supported by Lester Ross, Joseph Emmert, Henry Brown, E. A. Wing, B. Snodgrass and M. Truair of Waterloo. Interment was at Campton Cemetery.

William Adams was born at Woodbridge, Suffolk, England, March 23, 1856. He was one of a family of nine children. He received his education and learned the mason’s trade in England. At the age of 21 he came to America, locating in Wisconsin.

He was married to Miss Sophia Durham March 23, 1878, at Weysuwega, Wis. The home was made in Wisconsin until 1894, when they located on a farm near Lamont. In 1905 they moved to Lamont, where they have since resided.

Mr. Adams is survived by his widow, two children, George Adams and Mrs. Mabel Dopp, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters living in England.
