Kenneth D. Baych, 71, of Hazleton, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.

Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa, with Rev. John Sheda officiating. Visitation: 10:00 A.M. to service time on Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment: Will be at a later date in Hazleton (Fontana) Cemetery at Hazleton, Iowa. A Memorial fund has been established in his name.

Kenneth Duane Baych was born November 26, 1940 at Fairbank, Iowa, the son of Charles C. and Vivian Almira (Potts) Baych. On September 17, 1960, he was united in marriage to Judith Miller at Fairbank, Iowa. Kenny was employed at John Deere Manufacturing and retired at the age of 48. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years, member of UAW, Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, mowing lawn and spending time with his family.

Kenneth is survived by his 4 Daughters, Kenda (James Taylor) Baych of Waterloo, Iowa, Theresa (Larry) Youngton of Oelwein, Iowa, Maria (George) Drilling of Waucoma, Iowa and Lisa Baych of Hazleton, Iowa; Son, Ken (Sophia) Baych of Chaska, Minnesota; Mother of his children, Judy Baych of Manchester, Iowa; 10 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters, Clarice “Tody” (Al “Bouncer”) Williams of Fairbank, Iowa and Tina (Ed) Maines of Jesup.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his Parents; Son, Frank on December 30, 2011; Grandson, Nathan Drilling; and a Brother, James Baych.
