Funeral services for Maxine Hawkins, age 83, of Aurora, Iowa, will be at 10:00 a.m. at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop, Iowa with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery in Hazleton, Iowa.

Maxine Hawkins died Thursday, February 11, 1999 at her home of a stroke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Bert" Hawkins on March 24, 1958; a son, Chaffin "Chik" Hawkins, two grandchildren; two brothers, Norman Scarbrough, and Cecil Scarbrough and three sisters, Bernita Hulse, Jaunita Anderson, and Waunita Van Way.

Maxine Hawkins is survived by her five sons, Edmound Hawkins of Waterloo, Iowa, Albert Hawkins, Jr. of Marion, Iowa, Norman Hawkins of Rowley, Iowa, Felix Hawkins of Covina, California, and Cecil Hawkins of Aurora, Iowa; two daughters, Teddy Luloff of Aurora, Iowa and Penny Wright of Lamont, Iowa; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-granchildren, and two great-great- grandchildren; and a brother Richard Scarbrough. *This obituary did not give her birthdate, place of birth or the names of her parents.*
