Charlotte A. Dudley, 79, of Independence, Iowa, and formerly of Brandon, Iowa, died Sunday morning, February 13, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Charlotte was born on September 11, 1931 in Disputanta, Virginia the daughter of James H. and Rebecca A. (Woomer) Treaster.

She graduated from the Hopewell High School in Hopewell, VA. On July 21, 1951 she was united in marriage to Rudolf K. Dudley in Disputana, VA., where the family lived until moving to Independence and Brandon, Iowa area in 1965. Following the death of her husband in 1998 Charlotte moved into Independence, Iowa.

Charlotte loved her family, she enjoyed camping, crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by four sons; Ronald (Holly) Dudley, Gladbrook, Iowa, Donald (Lisa) Dudley, Caddo Mills, Texas, James (Diane) Dudley, and Arthur (Teresa) Dudley both of Independence, Iowa, Nine Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren, a sister; Mildred Pleasant, Hopewell, VA., and a brother; Charles Treaster, Richmond, VA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Her Husband Rudolpf in 1998, seven sisters; Mary McClure, Elizabeth Rodkey, Dorothy Smith, Georgia Krick, Ada Pearson, Sarah Simmons, and Gladys Browder, and three brothers; Robert, Clair, and James Treaster,

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, Iowa with Rev. Scott Meador officiating.

Burial will be in the Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills, Iowa.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday and from 8 A.M. till services Thursday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, in Independence.
