Winnie Hamilton was born November 30, 1921 in Czarnokoinci, Poland, the daughter of Wasyl and Tillie Theda Lukasevich Suchodolski.

The family moved to Edmonton, Canada in 1928 where Winnie attended school. She met her future husband Everett Hamilton in Edmonton when he was stationed there during WWII.

Winnie was united in marriage to Everett LaVerne Hamilton on July 14, 1945 at Alberta, Canada. She moved to a farm east of Quasky to live with Everett’s family until he returned from the war. After the war they moved to Janesville where they farmed until moving to Quasqueton in 1953. Everett died on July 16, 1995. Winnie continued living in Quasqueton until her health forced her to move to West Village Care Center in Independence in 2009.

Winnie was a homemaker and mother caring for her husband Everett and their son Brent. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and embroidering pillows.

Winnie entered into her eternal rest on Monday, December 27, 2010 at West Village Care Center in Independence following a lengthy illness at the age of 89.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett, and two brothers Mike and Joe Such.

Survivors include her son Brent of Independence, her brother Fred (Elsie) Such of Edmonton, Canada; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 31, 2010 in the White Funeral Chapel in Quasqueton.

Interment will be in the Quasqueton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday and after 10 AM Friday at the White Funeral Chapel in Quasqueton, Iowa.

The Fawcett Funeral Home of Winthrop assisted the family with arrangements.
