Mrs. Lena Bright INDEPENDENCE (Special) —
Mrs. Lena Augusta Bright, 92,Independence, died Jan. 8 at Mercy Hospital, Oelwein. She was born in Buchanan County Aug. 5, 1881, the daughter of
William A. and Julianna Fenner.

On Oct. 9, 1898, she was united in marriage to Harley M. Bright,Fairbank. She was a member of
the Immanuel Lutheran Church,Independence.
Survivors include: one son,David, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. I. L. (Wilda)Clifton, Milford; three grandchildren; one brother, Paul
Fenner, Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents,her husband in 1965 and one
daughter, Delia.

Funeral services were held Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church here, with the
Rev. Horst Hehr officiating.Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The White Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
