Mrs. Margaret Michael, an old time resident of Cascade, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. john Streng (sic), in Independence, last week, at the advanced age of 87 years. Margaret Ashoff was born in Birmingham, Pa., Feb. 11, 1842, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Ashoff. The family resided in Kentucky for a time and came to Iowa about sixty years ago, settling at Cascade. Later they went to Spencer's Grove and then to Independence, where Mrs. Ashoff lived up to the time of her death.
