H. Ruth Tidball, 87, of Denver, Colorado, and formerly of Independence, Iowa died Monday, October 11, 2010 in Denver, Colorado.

Ruth was born on December 31, 1922 in Champagne, Illinois, the daughter of Tom and Esther (Hansen) Wooters.

She received a dietician degree from the University of Illinois, Champagne, Illinois. She moved to the Independence, Iowa area and become employed as a dietician with the Mental Health Institute in Independence. She was united into marriage to John H. Tidball on July 25, 1975.

She is survived by four children; Pam Bentzinger, and Phillip Tenney both of Denver, CO., Laurie Tidball, San Jose, CA., and David Tidball, Bull Head City, AZ., nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister Alice of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John in 2007, a son Thomas Tenney, and a brother Joe Wooters.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence with Rev. John Hogen officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 9 A.M. till services Saturday at the funeral home.
