Brian D. Wessner, 62, of Quasqueton, Iowa died Tuesday, Dec. 30th, 2008, at his apartment in Ft. Dodge, Iowa following a sudden illness.

Brian was born on March 17, 1946 near Gardner, Iowa the son of Edwin B. and Ruth M. (Schwisow) Wessner. He graduated from the Ventura High School, Ventura, Iowa and attended Automotive Technician School in Omaha, NE. He moved to Quasqueton, Iowa area and became as an Iron worker in the Cedar Rapids area, and did over the road trucking prior to becoming employed with Reilly Construction in the Mid 1990’s.

He is survived by two sons; Chris Wessner, Quasqueton, Iowa and Jimmy Wessner, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, one grandchild, a sister; Joy Bohnet, Lyndonville, New York, and a brother; Wes Wessner, Lyndonville, New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Jan. 5th, 2009 at the Union Church, Quasqueton, Iowa with Rev. Kevin Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the Quasqueton Cemetery, Quasqueton, Iowa. Friends may call from 9 A.M. till services Monday at the church. The Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Quasqueton, IA is in charge of arrangements.
