Jeffrey Dean Wessels, formerly of Lamont, was born October 22, 1964 at Manchester, Iowa the son of Lester and Maxine Brown Wessels. Jeff attended Starmont Schools and later earned his GED. Jeff was married to Bonnie Tillman and to this union were born three children: Amber, Austin, and Justin. They later separated. Jeff worked at various places including AMPI Creamery, TPI at Oelwein, Bertch Cabinets and Blessing Industries.

Jeffrey Wessels entered into his eternal rest on Friday December 19, 2008 at his residence in Oelwein at the age of 44.

He was preceded in death by his father Lester H. Wessels.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie of Independence, his step-daughter Hope; his daughter Amber; his two sons: Austin and Justin; his mother Maxine Wessels of Manchester; his brother Jerry (Jean) Wessels of Lamont; his three sisters: Patricia (Charles) Clabaugh of Kansas City, MO; Linda Wessels of Richfield, MN; and Kelly (Robert) Faust of Strawberry Point, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop with Rev. Carroll Robinson officiating. Honorary bearers will be nephews. Private interment of his cremains will take place later in Campton Cemetery at Lamont. The Fawcett Funeral Home & Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
