ELDON - Ronald L. Kremer entered new life on Monday, December 15, 2008 at his home in Eldon. He was born to Cletus and Theresa Wirtz Kremer on August 15, 1953 in Independence, Iowa. Ron married Brenda Louise Flowers on June 15, 1974 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She survives him.

He is survived by two daughters, Tisa and husband John Kirschner their son Dane of Madison, Wisconsin and Nicole and husband Stanley Sedore and their sons, Charles, William and Thomas of Iowa City, Iowa. This kind compassionate man was a best friend, loving husband, cherished father and an adored and indulgent grandfather. Ron is also survived by his parents and ten siblings, Eugene and wife Valerie of Gardiner, Montana, Kenneth and wife Therese of Cedar Falls, Patricia Struble and husband Richard, Larry and wife Carol of Delhi, Iowa, Jerry of Marshalltown, Raymond and wife Denise of Waterloo, Janice Skog and husband Barry of Burnsville, Minnesota, Roger and wife Connie of Ottumwa, Connie Balk and husband Dennis of Dodgeville Wisconsin, Norma Jacobsen and husband Jon of Cedar Rapids, a brother-in-law Bill Flowers and wife Sherry of Marshalltown, a sister-in-law Barbara Schrafel and husband Terry of Cedar Rapids and his parents-in-law, Carlon and Lorraine Flowers of Gilman, Iowa.

Ronald was also honored in life with numerous nephews and nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by one sister and husband, Carolyn and John Sheehan, and an infant brother, Leroy.

Ron’s family asks that in his memory and in support of the things he enjoyed that memorials be made to Friends of the Eldon Library, the American Gothic House Center, the St. Mary’s building fund (Welcoming Family of Faith), the Batavia Public Library, or the Eldon KD Center Board. Memorials may be sent to: Kremer Funeral Home P.O. Box 10 Eldon, Iowa 52554.

Visitation is on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 3 to 8 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fairfield with a Christian prayer service to begin at 6pm. Family will greet friends beginning at 5pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 10:30am at the church with Father Stephen Page officiating. Private family burial will be on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown at 2pm.
