OELWEIN — Isabel Mae McMillan, 94, of Oelwein, formerly of Stanley, died Saturday, Dec. 20, at Mercy Living Plus, Oelwein, after a lingering age-related illness

She was born June 17, 1914, in rural Perry Township, Jesup, daughter of Albert and Blanche Mahanna Ohl. She married Donald Graham McMillan on Oct. 15, 1932, in Galena, Ill. He died Jan. 20, 1971.

Mrs. McMillan farmed with her husband in the Stanley area until retiring in 1962. She was a longtime member of Stanley Union Church, and was currently a member of First Baptist Church, Oelwein.

Survived by: a son, Robert (Liz) of Stanley; a daughter, Beverly (Jan) VanGorder of Woodbridge, Va.; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leslie Ohl of Strawberry Point; two sisters, Laura Bates and Donna Fish, both of Oelwein; and five sisters-in-law, Essie Ohl, Merna Ohl, Marion Ohl and Betty Ohl, all of Oelwein, and Patricia Ohl of Independence.

Preceded in death by: an infant son, Ronald; three sisters, Daisy Strempke, Mabel Campbell and Ada Fleming; and six brothers, Phillip, Clyde, LeRoy, Walter, Robert and Marshall.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Oelwein, with burial in Stanley Cemetery, Stanley. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, where there will be a 4 p.m. Eastern Star memorial service by Order of the Eastern Star Oelwein Chapter 45, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Memorial fund: has been established in her name.
