Jesup - Leola Eileen Rachuy, 76 years old of Jesup, IA, died Friday, October 12, 2007, at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born January 23, 1931, in Jesup, the daughter of Frederick August Rachuy and Clara Caroline (Ulm) Rachuy. She attended school in Jesup and graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1948. Leola worked at the Iowa Public Service office in Jesup for several years and did secretarial work at the American Lutheran Church for 8 years. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Jesup.
Leola is survived by 1 sister, Darlene Rachuy of Jesup, IA, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, Allen Rachuy, 1 sister, Ruby Heth and 1 nephew, Larry Rachuy.
Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. – Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the American Lutheran Church, Jesup, IA, with Rev. Dawn Pederson officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, IA.
Friends may call anytime after 2:00 p.m. – Monday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Memorials will be directed to the American Lutheran Church, Jesup, IA.
