Jesup - Duane C. Jensen, 54 years old, of Blairsburg, Iowa, formerly of Jesup, Iowa, is presumed to have died on Monday, January 9, 2006, at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born on August 28, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Donald Leslie and Hazel Martha (Griffith) Jensen. He graduated from the Jesup High School with the Class of 1969, and then, he graduated from Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He serviced with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. At the time of his death he was a meat cutter at a market in Blairsburg.

Mr. Jensen is survived by 1 sister, Donna (Steve) Neverman of Jesup, Iowa, 1 nephew, Shawn (Sarah) Neverman of Fort Dodge, Iowa, 2 nieces, Jessica (Jeremy) Studebaker and Angela Neverman, both of Jesup, Iowa, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at the White Funeral Home in Jesup, Iowa, with Pastor Kristy Parker officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, Iowa. There will be no visitation.
White Funeral Home of Jesup was in charge of arrangements.
