Independence - Marguerite Anne Hovey, 68 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at West Village Care Center in Independence following a short illness. She was born on May 21, 1939, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Asa and Mildred Lucille (Meyer) Hovey. She attended school in Independence. When she was able, she helped care for her parents and siblings.
Ms. Hovey is survived by 2 brothers, Harry Hovey of Fairbank, Iowa, and Frank Hovey of Independence, Iowa, and 1 sister, Mary Loomis of Orange, Californina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Larry Hovey.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Oakwood Cemetery in Independence with Pastor Mike Root officiating. There was no visitation.
